@simmiebaby, that's what I'm saying and it's sad. They only get a small percentage of the donations. I'm not tryna hurt anyone's feelings but this is the harsh reality. This is something we all must know.
I agree! Check this out:

Alot of organizations can't be trusted when it comes to charity and donations. Media is hard to trust accurate coverage too. Someone cussed out a reporter on CNN today because she had the camera in her face instead of offering to help in Houston. Most things done by major organizations isn't out of the kindness of their hearts, unfortunately. There's always give and take.
@mc.squared, he might've helped a bit. Red Cross scammed Haiti. This is coming from my friends family who's actually living there. Not just stopping by to drop things off. It's for show. I'm not here to argue either. But once you've actually went there and/or see how once the cameras were off, how they were being treated. This isn't up for debate. But if your husband attempt to do it for a good cause, then that's good for him.
My husbands unit went to Haiti for disaster relief. They brought TONS of supplies from the Red Cross. I'm not here to argue, I'm just saying I've seen and experienced help from the Red Cross on multiple occasions.
@mc.squared, yeah well they could be limited. Because if you talk to the ppl in Haiti they'll actually show you different. Plus the military is a convenience to the US. Red Cross are scammers.
The Red Cross actually does do a lot for military families and wounded warriors :)
@bryannajneal92, it's ridiculous. I wish there were honest organizations who would actually help!
I second this!!! They scam everyone to profit for themselves instead of actually helping people
Agreed.
