Can we as a generation please get rid of the "Thank you" note custom? 🙄
@emily526 I have terrible handwriting, so I hate writing anything to anyone, lol.
I hate feeling pressured to do stuff like that. My husband even gave me flak about it 🙄
I like sending out thank you cards, but that's just a personal opinion. I don't feel offended if I don't receive them. I don't feel obligated to send them, I just like to. That being said if I ever had over 100 to write, best believe I would not be sending them lol that's too much!
@aboutellesbabes "Well they spent the time, thought and money buying you a gift, it's the least you could do.."
Buying a single gift is a billions times easier than writing notes until you need a wrist brace for carpal tunnel.
It's like I even gave you a big hug while saying thank you... and you're still not happy about that? You really need a card?! Lol
@aboutellesbabes or just the thank you i issued upon opening the gift? Lol
@juliaschade41 my mother in law gave me some cards she got on clearance 🙄 How the heck do you even go about remembering to thank who for what, and gathering everyone's address.
Yes! God can't a simple thank you text suffice? Lol
@juliaschade41 I never sent out thank you notes from my shower 😣 I would have had to have written over 100 notes. Who has time for that while raising kids?! I feel guilty, but think it's so dumb that I have to feel guilty. We tell everyone thank you at the shower, so what's the point.
I think its stupid too. I sent out thank you letters for my baby shower only cuz my mom bought them. I won't do it again though. Lol i said thank you as they were all leaving.😂😂
I love sending thank you notes. It's a very personal and thoughtful, easy gesture to show appreciation. We sent out over 200 after our wedding and about 100 after my daughter's baby shower.
