Had a cerclage (cervical stitch) put in place yesterday due to my cervix being short. Praying hard this helps us bring home our rainbow 🌈 👶🏽.
Yes ma'am it did especially after meds wore off. I'm truly glad she is doing well!!!
@uhavemyheart2000 she is doing very well!!! She said the procedure hurt like no one's business...lol. she is doing great
Wow, 9/10 hour days..... I work 8 but I do have the option to sit for a couple it needed. How is she doing with that @ktwyman82,
@uhavemyheart2000 yes, my aunt had to be after she had the procedure done. My best friend didn't. She is working 9/10 hour days.
@uhavemyheart2000 good luck to you! Message me if you have any questions
Ok @simmiebaby, I definitely will. I need n want all the help I can get to bring our baby home
@uhavemyheart2000 they have me on progesterone with the cerclage because progesterone is designed to keep the pregnancy in tact. I'd ask your doctor!
I think you would definitely benefit from progesterone I sure did with my last and for this baby I am over 3cm still and I have never been by this point I'd be shortened to a 2.1 or lower and effaced it's an amazing thing I also got a pessary put in since it was to late for stitching but it was all worth it I made it to 35 weeks with a completely healthy baby 😍 best of luck to you
I've definitely doing that, water and potty often. She mention progesterone but said she didn't think I'd benefit from it and that cerclage was better due to so many losses. I wonder if they have ever done both cerclage and still put mother on progesterone? Ya know
Make sure you also drink a lot of water with electrolytes, or gatorade to limit contractions. Empty your bladder often too. Just some tips that have kept me going! Also, I've been taking progesterone suppositories.
Honestly @uhavemyheart2000 I credit it all to bedrest. They try to say it's not proven but you HAVE to relax and be off of your feet as much as possible, with as least pressure on the stitch as possible. Even if they didn't say it, I'd put myself in moderate bedrest
@ktwyman82, did either of them have to be put on bed rest? They didn't put me on bed rest??
@uhavemyheart2000 I'm sure it will turn out great for you. My aunt also had one done at 2 months. She had an incompetent cervix too. That makes 2/2 that I know of! With you, it will be 3/3
@ktwyman82, oh wow, now that's really hitting home. I sure pray that's me. Wishing her all the best and congrats on such a huge milestone!!!!
My best friend got one at 12 weeks, because of an incompetent uterus. She is now 7 months!
@simmiebaby, oh wow, thank you so much for sharing that. Makes me feel better already. Huge congrats to you that's awesome
@ktwyman82,
