how many weeks were you when you found out the gender of your baby?
Had it shortly after 21 weeks and found out at12 weeks, via blood work when I had my genetic test.
- I did the genetic testing for the gender.. two of my brothers were supposed to be girls, so I didn't wanna mess around with that lol
@morgan021218, ohh okay. ill be 14weeks at my next appointment so i'll see if they'll do it
@lavender13, they asked me during my first appointment if I wanted it done but they won't do it until 11 weeks at my office so at my next appointment they did the blood draw for it.
@morgan021218, do you schedule it ahead of time with your OB or ask for it at the next ultrasound appointment?
12w2d I mean. 11 weeks is when they drew my blood for it and took a week for results lol
thank you all for actually commenting 😅i know everyone is different. i was just curious about the range of weeks
@mari_c, ah okay. i really don't want to wait that long either :/ mainly cause i want to start buying things other than diapers n bottles
@lavender13, I had a really good insurance but I had to pay because I wanted an appointment scheduled earlier than 20 weeks to find out. And no it was a sono. My obgyn office made everyone pay if they wanted to know earlier. I could have just waited until 20 weeks.
@kaitlinbaker23, thanks. i'll call my insurance and see if they cover it
@mari_c, yea it's probably harder to tell in an ultrasound early on if its a girl. u paid that to get a blood test?
@lavender13 depends on your insurance I believe. It would have cost me like $150 out of pocket to find out lol but i think some insurances cover the cost.
@kaitlinbaker23, ohh okay. why don't people just get blood tests then? is it more expensive?
If its by ultrasound then usually between 17-20 weeks. Blood test can tell sooner.
What would you do with $25,000
If you received an extra $25,000. What would you do with it? ?
