I know a beautiful Arabic girl named Mariam

It's a old name but I love old names for girls

Like Rose, Olivia, Ava. Stuff like that

What about having it as a middle name that's what I did with my kids their middle names tie into other family members

Like it it's a pretty name and it's rare and in the bible

My baby will be Puerto Rican/ Moroccan . I've been trying to tell him let's put it as a middle name & I feel as his family is pressuring him to make it the name

This isn't fair to you at all. He should comprise, especially if you don't like the name. Either Have him name the next child, use Miriam for a middle name, or combine the name. If they get upset who cares, it's just a name and they will love the baby regardless.

I'm not a fan of the name but if you add Lee after the name like you have Your name on this app I think that would be soooo pretty. Mariam Lee

It's nice, and usually I like old fashioned names, but this one just strikes me as OLD. What about doing Miriam or Marian? It's close to Mariam but may be a good compromise?

I think this isn't about his family and if you can say flat out that you don't like the name then I wouldn't do it. I understand wanting to make everyone happy but if you aren't happy with it then it shouldn't be done that way. Maybe compromise a little if you can but if it's not in your heart then you should try to go a different direction. Good luck 🙏💓

I think it's a beautiful name but I like older names. She's your baby though, and you need to be happy with it, not him or anyone else. If nothing else you could call her by her middle name? My youngest name is Reagan George, but everyone else calls him Georgie because my husband really wanted to name him George after his grandpa. I don't mind it even though I really didn't like George for a name but this way everyone's happy.
