I'm super nervous!!!... My Man gets back after being gone for a month... And I'm worried he's going to want me to change my methods with the baby. 😩 I sleep in the same room as the baby, bf on-demand... And nurse, rock, walk baby to sleep... Sometimes with a pacifier. Sometimes I lay him down when he's just tired so he can fall asleep on his own during the day... But tonight he wasn't having it. He's 3.5 months old. I'm worried I'm not allowing him to learn to self-soothe or fall asleep without assistance. Any advice other than the "cry it out" method? He's usually a pretty good sleeper...
Does this sound like a crazy schedule?... Or normal?
5.5-7.5 hours sleeping through the night... Followed by another 1-3 hours after feeding... And another 1-2 hours after feeding again. Usually "up-up" for the day between 7:30am-10:30am... Naps sometime around 12pm, 4pm, 6pm/7pm. Down for the night sometime between 8pm-10:30pm. And I nurse every 1-3 hours all day. Longest stretch between nursing is 6-8 hours at night.
@lonna_dee no why is it bad that you give him a paci? If you dont he will probably find his hand/thumb to suck on anyway. And you can take a paci away later you cant take their hand away lol
At night my daughter eats for last time at 11pm and she woke up Around 6 or 9 am if she doesn't wanna go to sleep after i do everything that I normally do, i will just laid her dow on her crib and she will fall sleep by her own...
So... He just woke up rn crying kinda... And I picked him up, gave him a binkie and laid him back down again. 😬😬😬😬 Is that bad? 🙈🙈🙈🙈
I use a sound machine that has a projector on it and give my baby a paci. Ill put her in her bassinet when shes awake and she'll go to sleep no problem
I'm a FTM and trying to get my baby to sleep through the night. What are some tricks you ladies used? He will sleep from 10:30-2 but then wake up every hour to two hours after
reading online it says a 4 month old should be sleeping around 11 hrs a night. mine barley sleeps 7.... and wakes up frequently for feeds... why???!!! how come my baby doesn't need sleep?! he'll nap around 4 hrs during the day If I'm lucky. but I read they need between 4-6 hrs of nap during the day. so he needs 4 more hours at night!!!
Sleeping through the night
How did you do it? Am I doing it wrong? My kid eats every 3-4 hours, including at night. I've been reading up on how I can get him to sleep more at night but all I really found was extending the length between feedings. I just don't see how I can do that at night if he's showing so many signs of hunger by the 3-4 hour mark. I also read feeding baby more during the day so they'll sleep more at night.
My son normally sleeps 5,6, even 7 hours between his feedings at night. However these past two days, he's back to waking up every 2/3 hours at night. 😑😑 What is going on /!😫
Alright I need tricks on how to get my baby to sleep faster at night he will sleep through the night once we get him to sleep but it's been taking 3 hours to get him to sleep when he's rarely slept through the day :/ someone help!
