Yes me to i was with my son when he was really poorly in hospital and I could never leave him with anyone x

@sr63665, yeah I totally agree I'm with my kids 99% of the time and would do anything for them xx

@staceyhmfc, yeah exactly they need consistency, like with my daughter she has autism so she finds it hard to let loads of people in which also annoys me at the same time with the grandparent situation they know she finds it hard and that you have to see her regularly but do they make the effort no. But I agree as long as they have their mum and dad and they know that they would do anything for them then in some ways screw not having good grandparents. But there will always be a part of me that wishes that they would care and would to take the time to get to know their grandkids but I guess you can't force them and it's there loss at the end of the day xx

I haven't left Alfie side since he was born and we haven't been out without him.i think if you hav e kids pu should be there for them xx

Sometimes I'm envious of people having all these helpers etc but then at the same time that can't always be good for your kids surely to go to different people all the time. Like atleast they will always know we will be there to pick them up etc and never let them down. So in some ways I get super sad and down about ot(low days) but then I have a strong moment and say well I will do my very best to give them what they want and need and never let them feel or go through what I am going through. Or been through. I suppose we are learning through this and knowing how we can be the better person/grandparent eh.xx

That's defiantly right hun they no we love them wry much and that s all they need in there lives hun xx

@sr63665, exactly you can't choose your family but at least our children have us and that's all they need 😊 x

@staceyhmfc, exactly at least when your a grandparent you have the easy job you can give the kids back to the parents at the end of the day lol. We did do it ourselves exactly and I know my kids are happy they are loved and they know I will be here for them 😊 xx

It's very hard isn't it we wish are mums where here they say you can pick your friends but not your family it's a shame on the kids they don't deserve this xx

@sr63665, I don't have my mum too and my dad well he doesn't come round very often to see them and when he does it's short and sweet, I don't know why he bothers sometimes, I just wish my children had grandparents that made an effort x

we haven't got to thank them for any think just wished my mum was around xx

I know, we rarely get time together and are always knackered between them both and everything else in life. But then atleast you know them inside out and can say yous did it yourself. And therefore when it does come to our grandkids it will be super easy lol because we did the hard part, I hope lol. X

Yes they should indeed makes me angry hun espically when I haven't got mymum thought she would make a effort more xx

@staceyhmfc, thats all they need at the end of the day there mummy and daddies love 😊, that's what I tell my children. I don't feel like there missing out on anything because anything a grandparent can do I can do. I think it's more for me and my partner just to get to have some us time which we hardly get xx
