Something I shared on Facebook:

It's so very sad that people see an attached child as "spoiled." We carry our children in our womb for months, then they come into this unfamiliar world, and they depend on their mother/parents for all their needs. It's not black and white. You don't just feed and change your child, then leave them to self soothe. They need their parents for comfort, warmth, and nurturing. People wonder why children have anxiety and abandonment issues, you can't get angry with a infant for crying/being fussy, it is their only form of communication. Children are very complex. So think about that before you tell a mother their child is spoiled, needy, or whatever other backhanded comment you conjure up. Children need love, comfort, and warmth. Think before you speak 😊

Its like a common statement now, I can't help but roll my eyes when I hear it... People are genuinely ignorant. @embracemthrhd2 @mama_tj

Yeah I hate when people say that... my bf even said that the other day... I was like she is not spoiled.... When she cry it's for a reason she is wet or hungry or tiered... otherwise she is a happy baby...

@demytrismommy Same. Kids have melt downs as well, they're human. We as adults get frustrated, impatient, exhausted and sometimes we don't always contain it... So why do people expect children to be able to hold their composure? Makes zero sense.
