Acetone should work also. It's cheap at wal mart

Acetone will take the finish off the fridge! Be careful with the alcohol too, I did that and it took the paint off.

Magic eraser will work

Yeah, normally the other things mentioned will work for permanent marker, but if the surface had paint (like the fridge) it'll take the paint off all the way to the metal and you'll be even worse off.

Mr clean Magic eraser...might take some elbow grease though

Magic eraser (mr clean) usually erases everything. Even paint
