At what age do you get your baby there own dentist?

My dentist is a family dentist but if the kids get cavities they have to go to pediatric dentist. With my oldest she didn't see her until she had all her teeth (18 months) and my youngest she said to bring at age 1.

@hannahbbtt, yeah it's different everywhere. I only take mine if they have dental issues before 3. My first two did great so hoping my 3rd will too!

@morganmommy79, I just picked a place for my daughter and it says on website that children should see a dentist by age one. I guess every place is different but it would make me feel better if I took her now even if they just look in her mouth.

I just asked my dentist this the other day. They said they don't take children until they are 3 years old. Ask your dentist. Some have to go to a specialist if teeth are rotten and causing problems before that age. I took my older kids when they turned 3 as well. Keep babies mouth clean tho with a wet washcloth or infant /toddler paste.

They dont do much when you take them to the dentist my brother in law is five and until the last few year did they acually clean there teeth my pediatrician told me to wait till hes 2 to get my son in
