So my poor baby boy has been extremely constipated ever since we started him in whole milk. I have to help him poop basically and then there's blood. I gave him some prunes a little bit ago and that helped a lot. I'm just wondering if there's something else I can do to prevent constipation. Also, he was on similac alimentum for the first 10 months of his life due to a milk protein allergy. We switched him back to regular similac with no problems. But could the constipation be because he's not tolerating the milk?

@virgosweetness, did you try regular similac after some time? Because we did around 10 months and he did fine with it..

@berrongc I think it's supposed to help their tummy's to make the transition easier also. But if you've already done that. Have you tried any sort of natural constipation medicine? Like constipation ease.

@berrongc mm I dont think they are the same. I think you'd be safe to use coconut while being allergic to nuts but ask your Dr to be sure

@jloop7509, unfortunately we can't do any nuts until we see an allergist. We're still waiting to get a call from them

@berrongc I have heard of some pediatricians having you do half and half.

Could be. You can try other milks like almond or coconut milk and see if that's easier
