I was told to take a stool softener like colace at the same time I take the iron pill...

I had to take iron pills after having my daughter because I had to have a blood transfusion. They made me severely constipated. I took stool softness, milk of magnesia and nothing helped. I finally just had grin and bare the pain to finally have a BM. I was backed up for about 2 weeks.(Sorry TMI)
