@evanasmama, I can say what I want. It bothers me. I don't hurt anyone or put them down when I see it. I am allowed to have my own opinion. Just because I am dyslexic doesn't mean it can't bother me. I had to work twice as hard to get to where I am. I find it more than okay to say something. It's my mouth I'll say what I want. I was not rude. I didn't call anyone dumb. So get over it

I don't think I should have to tip toe around grown ups and watch what I say because I am going to hurt their feelings. I didn't call anyone dumb. I didn't correct anyone. I didn't cuss. There was nothing rude said in my statement. I think some of you need to honestly get over yourselves. I could have been mean but I had no reason to. I could have worded it very rudely. @joy2017, I agree with you. I typically never comment on others posts or try to correct them. I just agree that they can sometimes make me cringe having been taught a certain way. My motto in life is "Say what you mean, but don't say it mean. If you can't say it in a nice way then you probably shouldn't say it!"

Sometimes alot things bothers us we have to rethink if its going to hurt someone not speak on it. That's like I'm from the nice side of town and it bother mean to be on my husband side of town which was the ghetto. I would be like why is it so ghetto over here but at the same time I didn't know I was hurting my husband feelings. He couldn't change where he was from but I was just stating my opinion not knowing what I was doing so like I said I agree with you and her. We just have to be mindful of what we say your comment made a big impact and I never knew how I was hurting my husband feelings I just was bothered and like you said we are use to certain things. Bad grammar and spelling drives me crazy too. I don't think that those who are bothered by it are being rude or acting like they're better than anyone else though. It's like watching your child try to fold towels or loading the dishwasher. You're used to it being a certain way because that's what you were taught. However, my spelling and grammar are awful when I'm tired ...which I have been since my daughter was born. 😂

@courtneyraelochamy i'm just expressing my opinion as well as you and i don't mean to sound hateful or disrespectful. I was taught that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. When my dad was a live and he had trouble spelling something or writing something, instead of putting him down for it i would try and help him. It made him feel stupid when he had to ask me how to spell a word because i was the child but i would reassure him that its ok and i didn't mind helping him.

Trust me I get the whole loved one struggles. My moms grammar is literally the worst. She always struggles and never graduated high school. So I get here it would "hurt" you guys. It doesn't stop be from disliking it though. It doesn't hurt my mom that I express my feelings about it. She always just laughs and calls me a smart ass and says how happy she is that I learned. ☺️ she is a great woman. Just because her grammar isn't good doesn't mean anything.

@danielswifey my mom is the same way that's why it hurt me to see this post and she always tried to do better and I believe if you really read our post you can see we are not upset just expressing ourselves to a statement which seems pretty normal

I just feel like we are all grown ups here. And someone's opinion shouldn't "hurt your feelings so bad" there are things posted on here all the time that could hurt my feelings but I let it go because it's their opinion. I put my big girl panties on and let it go. Growing up in a military family I was always taught to say what's on my mind and be tough. Sorry I understand not everyone is that way. But I mean dang. It's an opinion. I'm not intentionally hurting you.

@joy2017, you seem to be doing just fine to me! Hah. It's not even the little things that bother me. It's the abbreviations, making up words, and obviously putting letters where they don't go. For instance instead of saying boy I saw someone say "boiiii" that's not a mistake that's on purpose. Trying to be funny or not i have no idea. But that's what really gets me. Lol

@mommyirene that's because it's a sensitive subject. Even though she may not be pointing anyone out directly, the ones on here who may not spell as well as others are going to see this. My dad was excellent at math and was a smart man but even though he tried and tried he could not spell well at all but it's something he couldn't help. No need in making people feel worse than they already do about their disability.

@danielswifey, trust me I know. I was school to school. Put in different classes and had to work my ass off to get to where I am with ADHD, I'm dyslexic, and have bad vision. I understand there are struggles

@joy2017, I don't put anyone down I do not correct anyone or comment on their posts. I read and correct (to myself) as I go along. I am allowed to say it bothers me though, just like all other people in the world say what bothers them.
