Everything went well at my doctor appointment! We were able to see the little peanut, starting to really look like a person in there! :) The dr said she can't tell us the gender til about 20 weeks. Have any of you ladies been able to find out sooner than that?
If you have any history of genetic disorders in your family or are over 35 the blood test may be fully covered. Call your insurance and inquire- it is called the Maternity21. I was glad to have it because of all it rules out, and also insurance covered the entire thing. Best part - it was only 2 vials of blood and I learned gender by 12 weeks. Xo
@bryannajneal92, thanks for the tip, I figured. I'm gonna just wait it out til I can find out for free :)
I found out at 16 Weeks (: My obgyn offers gender ultrasounds at 14 weeks & up & it costs $35 . Your obgyn might offer that too (:
Most chances you're paying a pretty penny if you want to know earlier. I just waited until I could for free. I know you want to know right away, but it's better to save your money. I see you live in NY too so I know for a fact that you're going to be paying a lot!
Local ultrasound tech does it at 15 weeks 👍 I found out my son at 14 weeks 6 days 👍
So I'm hearing a lot about this blood test. For those who've done it, how does it work and how much did it cost you?
yea.. i had a blood test done that checks for down syndrome and chromosomal abnormalities and it also scanned for the gender and i found out at 11 weeks through the blood test
Blood test can cost 500 dollars is what dr told me but before 20 weeks girl parts can be swollen and look like boy parts
With my first I found out at 16 weeks, my second I found out at 13 but it was the blood test
yea mine was fully covered a
