When Violet drinks she spits it out too. She doesn't really spit up during or after feedings, but more as she spits the milk back out of her mouth as she's drinking. I use a bib and a burp cloth to try and both are soaked and her clothes after every feeding. I use avent bottles with size 1 nipples, I'm thinking about switching bottles to either tommee tippee or dr browns.
How did you all wean your child off the bottle? My daughter won’t drink her milk out of a sippy cup for nothing...but will drink her juice out of one..
My baby is almost two weeks old. She’s drinking 2oz of formula and she finishes the bottles. But her grandma over feed her and sometimes gives her two bottle of formula. Usually how much can she drink since she’s still two little..?
My baby is still on the size bottles that you get in hospital because the tete on the tommee tippee bottles (and any other bottle) is too big for her... but i think I need to get her on the normal bottles now but is she still to small? She’s just over 6 pounds 🤔... Or what is everyone else using to bottle feed baby at about that weight ?
Rant time. Tonight at Walmart I’m at the self check out register. Gabriella starts cry’s because she had a poopy diaper. She wasn’t hungry because I had already fed her the bottle I made. She drank just about all of it but was starting to spit some out (meaning she’s full) so anyway, she’s crying and I’m starting to pay for my items and getting ready to bring her to the bathroom to change her. As my back is turned to her I hear her choking/spitting up and crying harder. I turn around and there is an old lady shoving and forcing my baby the rest of her bottle! Telling me that she is hungry and that I need to feed her! I took the bottle and wiped Gabriella’s milky face and told the lady that she’s crying because she pooped and needs a diaper change. I freaked out on the lady telling her she has no right to just walk up to someone’s kid and take it upon themselves to feed them. I told her that I didn’t know where her hands had been to be touching my daughter or her things. She had the audacity to say no that she was hungry. I looked at this lady with a death stare. I said sternly excuse me? I know my child. She’s spitting out her bottle. And not eating. Now please mind your own business. She had the nerve to call me rude as she walked away!!
Ladies I need your help! I’m planning on giving baby her first feed from the breast so she gets all my colostrum but after I’m using formula. Did you mummies that formula feed take the ready made bottles with teats to the hospital in case you had to stay in?

It may not be the bottles well nipples. It sometimes takes time for newborns to adjust to any type of nipple. She is probably just trying to adjust to the change of how she takes her food and how to have her month. Give it some more time and then go from there. . Just my opinion . Good luck. 👍🏾🍀

My daughter just started doing that some times when she feeds. I don't think its the nipples at all because most times she doesn't spill a drop. To me she's doing it on purpose so that's when I take away the bottle and give her a binky because she just wants to suck on something.
