I need potty training tips. I've been trying to potty train my daughter and she just keeps getting more and more upset everytime I try to take her. I don't know what to do at this point. 😭

I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child. Potty Training *Updated* Why is there such a push to do it so early?
Early potty training (correction: early elimination): how many of you tried and how successful was it? Every time I try, it’s too late, the baby already peed or pooped and I cannot read her facial expressions to tell that she is due in advance 🤷 ♀

Trying to potty train my son and after he is potty trained then we have one more to go i cant wait until diapers are something we no longer have to buy anymore

@venusrihani that's not all the way true as they get older they understand more but it depends on the kid...my son was learning when he was 2 he was scared of his lil potty & didn't understand why there was poop or pee in the potty when he got up & would stop going he didn't learn till he was 3ish

What I read online is to have her go to the bathroom with you so she can gain confidence and understanding. Her own toilet will make her feel better and it's just her own size or at least get a stool and seat that fits(they will get fear of falling in) praise them and encourage them often. Some even say use a favorite toy as a demonstrator or even make their toy use the restroom with them. Prizes/rewards always help like the stickers or a treat they like after they do a good job. It says most kids don't potty train until 3-4 years and usually when they are confident and ready.

@desiree93 that's what I was feeling but my mom and husband are telling me the longer I wait the harder it'll be in the future but I think I'll try doing a better job at distracting her

Could be she's not ready ...it helps if she sees another kid doing it & having her potty in the room in a comfortable place some kids r scared of the toilet cuz of the sounds or it's to big...u can try to have her sit there & distract her with toys or a book or something to get her mind of it

We're still working she'll be three in January. We stopped for a bit she and I weren't having it lol. She goes pretty much all day and diapers at nap and night time and if we leave

Maybe she's not ready. My daughter at first was like this. I ordered a potty book and just kept encouraging her to sit. A sticker chart really helped to. Also she gets to be naked I realize she just keeps going in the underwear. Give her a prize to work towards ( dumb dumb suckers are awesome). If she still is upset give it a few week break v let her go with you and make a big deal on how cool the potty is then try again
