Cot bumpers....yay or nay?

Liv is 7mths n we just moved her into her own room and new big cot (she was in a chicco next to me up until now). I bought some mesh ones with velcro n hidden ties. Looks pretty secure but now im wondering wether they safe or not 😕

Ethan had a bumper from when he went in his cot at 3 months old, always slept opposite end.. Had no issues.. He now has a new set of bumper bars as hes one for sticking his legs out @missy84

That's why i got it to stop it from her legs and arms sticking out n her injuring herself. Everyone is saying how unsafe they are so now im having second thoughts😓 xx

Its personal preference really.. I will be using one with the next baby too.. The mesh ones are breathable though arent they? x

@missy84, Charlie's had one ever since he went into his cot 😳 but his is a specific breathable one- maybe look into it. It's more mesh rather than it being 'full' if that makes sense? X

I used the breathable mesh bumpers with Morgan. I started to with Max but he still got his legs through so I took them off. He's always getting his legs in the bars but never hurt himself as of yet! Lol

I used one of the breathable mesh ones and took the extra precaution of sewing the ties together so he definitely couldn't undo them 🙈

We've got breathable mesh ones that fasten on with velcro. Our little girl moves around so much we needed them.
