I was just diagnosed with gestational diabetes and I'm devastated I feel like I'm bound to have a still born any advice…

I never had it but my friend did. Don't worry! What it does is make you have a bigger baby. My son weighed 9 lbs so they thought I might have it but didn't. That's why they usually induce early or you could have a 10 lb baby. lol don't stress just watch your sugar and carb intake. I heard a lot of meat can cause diabetes too. It'll be hard but you'll get through and most likely it'll go away once you deliver.

My mom had it and i am fine i just had to be put in the incubator till my skin stopped being yellow they were even talking about a blood transfusion but my dad said he would do it since we are the same blood type because i was born in the 80s and back then there was aids scare

But honestly, it's not that big of a deal. They'll start you with a diet which will seriously suck since helllllooo what pregnant woman likes to be told "no sugar" lol but it's doable. Then they'll get you on a small dosage of medicine to help keep your numbers low as you get further along. The worst part for me was having to prick my finger 3x a day. It took me over an hour to do it the first time lmao I just couldn't hit the stupid button. If you ever have questions or want some support I'm always available :) you will be just fine. They may induce you at 38 weeks so your baby won't get too big. My son weighed 8lbs3oz at birth so I'm really glad he was born a little earlier and couldn't gain more lol

Noooo gestational diabetes is not THAT serious especially if you watch your sugar/carb intake

I had GD and my son was born perfectly healthy at 38 weeks 💛 I was induced to help prevent any complications from GD
