I need opinions please.
My friends mom is letting her workout at a gym to workout her legs apparently to push for birth, I was told by everyone that you shouldn't workout at a gym unless you're doing prenatal workouts or prenatal yoga. I was letting her know she shouldn't take the chance of hurting herself or the baby by working out at the gym since it's not exactly baby friendly.
Her mom proceeded to write me and tell me not to worry about and that she got it with a damn winky face.
Before I go off on this lady because her daughter isn't all there in the head to begin with and doesn't have the ability to take care of a child, I need to know what everyone else thinks of.

If shes not used to being in a gym she shouldn't go. But as long as shes not being crazy or really stupid it'll be ok

@kambam, should she talk it over with her doctor though? Her mom is playing doctor and it's irritating the crap out of me because they haven't even talked this over with the doctor who is my doctor by the way and told me walking on a treadmill is fine but I should do prenatal workouts and prenatal yoga.

Depends what she was/is doing. I was doing heavy weights until my 3rd tri but I was already used to it. She shouldn't do anything shes not used to, especially with weights, and not without a professional. But thats just my opinion.

She's just not asking her doctor for whatever it is she's doing. Her mom straight up told me "don't worry caity I got it ;)" like how do you have it but not do the adult thing for your daughter and grandchild and ask your DOCTOR. Like all I told her was she should do prenatal workouts and prenatal yoga and watch what she does with her legs and it turned into more. She didn't even know what a UTI was when I told her to watch how much she's swimming in a public pool. Unfortunately, she's special ed and so is her boyfriend. They aren't all there and I'm just frustrated that I was telling them to ask and her mom turned into a raging b word. She's never liked me and I've only met her twice. 🤦🏼♀️

Thats kinda scary. I really hope her mom does "got it".
Not much you can do unfortunately besides talk w your friend and make sure she's okay.

I worked at a gym and there were tons of pregnant moms! They'd work out and do Zumba (and other classes) up until the week they went into labor! I thought they were crazy cuz all I wanted to do when I was pregnant was relax and eat food 😂. As long as they are being safe it should be fine.

@savvysmom, she doesn't. I would try to get her on it but her mom might just tell her no for it. @melissasfambam, well she's not doing classes, honestly I don't even know what she's doing because she won't tell me.
