Being on the phone for over an hour trying to answer two questions, very simple questions. 1) does my child once she's born fall under my own insurance? & 2) I need a list of pediatricians that accept the above insurance so they can be set to give her care immediately. -_- I thought it was kind of common sense that she would pretty much have to fall under my care since she doesn't have a Birth Certificate and Social considering she would only be a few hours or a day old. But these people have me calling back and forth like they've heard of infant or newborn care -_-

It's crazy, especially if it's medicaid. Depending on the state though, you need to call when the baby is actually born to let them know before the baby is covered. You can also check with a pediatrician of your choosing to see if they accept your insurance. Sometimes it's faster than being on the phone with insurance itself lol
I have Medicaid and Isabelle was covered immediately. Like, we got her insurance card in the mail a week after she was born. We already had a pedi picked out beforehand that took our insurance.
