To all those against vaccines! My pediatrician just sent out a letter stating they will not longer be taking children who are not up to date on their vaccines! I'm not against vaccines so it makes me happy!

Question: (And I know this is a hot topic. But I'm not looking for or sharing my opinion. I'm looking for scientific backing.) If your kid is vaccinated against super bad ugly diseases why the FUCK should you care if another kid in their class isn't? Isn't the whole point of vaccinating to make your kid NOT contract it from another? So why should you care if other kids aren't vaccinated if yours are!? This just doesn't make sense to me. Am I correct, or am I ignorant? #maybeimjustconfused
