So I know this might sound like a dumb question but I'm a first time mom and idk... I breastfeed my baby and she latches great!! We've given her a paci since day 1...well we were going to wait a few weeks before introducing one but the nursery nurse gave her one without asking anyway! Whenever I go to offer it to her she opens her mouth super wide like she does when I'm breastfeeding her and sometimes she'll close her mouth and suck the paci in but others she'll just keep her mouth wide open like it's my boob.. is there a way you're supposed to do it that makes it easier for them to take it? I don't want to just shove it in her mouth when she does that because I don't want to choke her...lol
@serendipity466 she does want it I just think she can't figure out how to suck on it whenever she can get the hang of it she loves having it it's just like she keeps opening her mouth super wide because she thinks it's my boob
My son is 3 months and we have been trying to give him the paci once in a while but he doesn't keep it. He sometimes still chokes on it but we changed he pacifiers. I thought the green ones from the hospital would be best but the nipples are way too long and he hates them. He likes the Nookums that comes with the stuff animal. But he seriously only took the paci 5times in the last 3 months. If she doesn't take it in when you put it on her lips/in her mouth, don't force it. She might not be a paci baby.
Are u using the same type of pacifier that was at the hospital? Cause nipple confusion can sometimes occur with the fake nipples

Does this look like a dog? If so, what kind? Someone posted it on a lost dog Facebook page and said that she is very skinny and looks like she's been on her own for a while. She kind of looks like a baby fox or coyote to me.

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
FTM problems...
So I've made it pretty clear that I want to buy my daughter her fist Halloween costume. Her babysitter/nanny keeps saying she wanted to make her one. I told her yesterday that I wanted to find her something that my SO and I could dress up as a family. So I told her I am going to get it. She just text me and said 'not trying to step on your toes but I bought her two costumes'. She does this all the time. Anytime I want to do the "first" things with her she immediately does it. It...
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
I hate my generation sometimes ?
Today was my nieces baby shower, which went great. She got so much which amazing since she's been working 2 jobs trying to save up for the unpaid leave she'll have to take from work. Anyways I was talking to one of the ladies there since my son and her daughter were playing together. I asked her what her daughters name was, she said it was Layla. I told her that's a really pretty name and asked her if she was a Clapton fan and if she was named after the song. Th...
@jcbaby, I see. She's still little so I think it's harder for her to keep it in but in a couple of months she should be able to do it. Not sure there is anything you can do for now but wait :)
