Hey Mama's. Well my blood pressure refused to cooperate so Thursday night I was kept over at the hospital to induce Clara on Friday morning. They started Thursday night with these little yellow pills placed in my cervix and that started contractions. Then they started Pitocin at 7am and broke my water at 8am. However by 4:00 my cervix was still thick at 2-3 and high up. Doc called it for a c section because he couldn't get me to stabilize with blood pressure.
My beloved Clara was born Friday June 30, 2017 at 4:55 pm weighing 8 lbs 14oz ... She was 37 weeks holy cow could you imagine at 40 weeks. She was also 20 inches long. She scored an 8/8 on her APGAR score.
Shortly after I was done in the OR I found out that my daughter had a collapsed right lung and was going to be air lifted to Saint Francis in Tulsa. She was administered a dose of surfactant and by 5:30am her lung had reinflated. She is still on oxygen and still has a tube in her tummy to remove air bubbles but she's doing much better and breathing is not the work out it was at first for her. Because of the c section I can't leave this hospital until tomorrow and I'm going slightly nuts wanting to be with my daughter.
I'm praying really hard for her rapid recovery and that my other daughter doesn't go into labor while I'm trying to bring Clara home.

Wowzers! That's a lot of events packed into a couple of crazy days! I'm glad she's doing better, and wish you a speedy recovery... with my first I was on magnesium for 24 hours after my daughter was born, so even though we were at the same hospital, I was not able to see her... that was hard enough just knowing she was close and I could send my hubby down to take pics of her for me... I could not imagine being at another hospital! Hoping you get to see her very soon! Lots of love momma!
