I get WIC and every single time I check it out it takes 30 minutes to check out using 2 checks and I feel so embarrassed because the cashiers always treat me like shit every time I use WIC and the people behind me get impatient.
I wish I didn't need it because it's a hassle and people don't know how to act. But I am so thankful for it!
I hate having to use my WIC stuff I get embarrassed when there is a line behind me but I am so thankful for it. Got all my wic stuff then a few extra groceries, a whole shopping cart full really for $12 after using my wic checks.
Am I wrong to be upset? Last night I was running a fever, weak, tired, sore, my left boob feels like it got used as a punching bag. I asked my husband to call out of work today to help me with the kid so I could get some rest. He went to work. I texted him this morning. Part of me thinks I mean. The other part of me thinks I was fine for saying that because he should've stayed home with us.
I went to sign up for WIC yesterday, and she said my iron was a little bit on the low side. It was 11.3. I find it ridiculous that my dr never checks anything like that, and I have a thyroid disorder that they should keep a check on every month and she don't. If I wasn't this far into my pregnancy I would switch to a different OB because I am getting so fed up with her, I have only got to see my real dr maybe 3 times this whole pregnancy, then every other time it's a nurse practitioner or something like that because my dr is out. The lady at WIC also talked to me about my weight and told me to try to slow down, why does my dr NEVER mention anything like that? Sorry I just need to rant because this is really getting to me!
Literally have no friends or pt people to text haha every friend turned their backs on me or just don't get my pregnancy or SO issues and I kudu keep to myself. 🙄
I need people to remember i will not be pregnant for every so keep that sane energy ur givin me 2 months n 27 days

Around here the cashiers are so used to people using wic that they get us done super quick even if I grabbed the wrong thing. And who cares how long you take? You're providing for your family. Bottom line.

That's why I always take them out at the corner store. I hate taking them out at the market especially if the market is full

Down here in Florida we have the cards..it's so much easier...I'll be in line and I see people getting irritated and impatient..I'll pull out my card no shame baby..and I have food stamps too so both cards get swiped and I take my time...if they have a problem they can get in another line !! And I start a convo wit the cashier...FUK THEM HATERS -Do you baby girl !!!

Aww thank you guys!! I wish we had the cards here I heard about them and I feel like it would be so much easier!!! Hopefully we get them here someday
