@cubanese, I truly appreciate it. I am all about learning and I like to truly understand things before I decide on them. I have heard many ppl get pregnant while breastfeeding I guess I just assumed it was because they had a period by then. And I definitely do not want to turn to formula solely to have another baby close in age. Health is definitely first for my baby and I'd like to do it all correctly.

@cubanese, so if I used ovulation sticks I'd know if I was fertile since no period to base it on?

@cubanese, I understand. My midwives said 18 months between kids not 18 month age of first baby. And I am trusting her on that.

@cubanese, I don't plan on doing it right now. Hoping for this fall which leaves a bigger gap. My midwives advised me to wait until my son is 9 months for health reasons. Most of my friends did not get a period until they completely stopped nursing. And I worry that'll be my case.
