My little girl has horrible hiccups and they last for a long time. My husband is worried that she might have some type of disease where she is unable to control her body because she keeps getting these horrible hiccups and her whole body shakes. I don't think that she has this problem but has anyone else had a child that does hiccups like this I'm just really worried now.

Well I don't know if it's a Hispanic thing. But my oldest used to ALWAYS get them, then my grandma said hiccups are because they are cold and to put a hat on him. And I started doing that and they would be gone right away.. I always thought I dressed him really warm, but just adding the hat helped them go away.

All that is normal, very common to have hiccups for babies, my son gets them. If you breast feed, put her on your boob and let her drink they should subside. As far as the shaking; babies don't have control over their motor skills yet my son shakes parts of his body but I would also talk to her pediatrician about it
