It was quite a bit but it stopped right after it happened. Waiting on the midwife to call me back now. Both of my other kids were early but I never noticed my mucus plug before so I wasn't sure. But after showing a pic to another mom, I was told it was my bloody show

You can message it to me if you want. I wouldn't worry too much right now. Just be mindful of more bleeding, fluid leaking, and of course more than 4 contractions in an hour.

@arivera64 that makes sense. I quit bleeding shortly afterwards but it seemed like maybe a little more than it should be. I took a pic but didn't want to gross ppl out on here lol

True bloody show usually results in labor within 3 days

The mucus plug can be lost little by little thru pregnancy. It can regenerate. Bloody show is usually the combination of mucus and blood from your blood vessels rupturing as your cervix is opening up.

@arivera64 what is the difference between bloody show and mucus plug? I didn't notice my mucus plug with my other two pregnancies and with my youngest, I lost a lot of blood when my water broke.

When losing your mucus plug, you should only be having light pink streaks generally. If you're having bloody mucus, that sounds like bloody show and you should call your doctor
