I live in chronic pain and loss of motion in my right arm, neck, and back! Some days are better than others and today was not such a good day. I had a burning hot pain going up in between my shoulder blades and the pain in my arm made it harder to move than normal. But I still did. Fitness for me is nonnegotiable. It's not a matter of should I work, it's a matter of when. This is true even if I have to go out and come home later than I normally workout.
I schedule my workout around a time I know my pain medicine is working at it's fullest, and today I went had to go out and ended up getting home later than planned. Today's workout was a struggle but there was no way I was gonna give up! I had to modify some moves I might not have normal so to make up for this I intensified others I knew I could handle. I've found this to be a great way to level out a workout I couldn't go as hard on!
