How do you move on to raise your child with someone that's not your child's biological parent?

What do you mean? Allowing your spouse to co parent with you?

My husband isnt the bio of my kids. We parent them the same.. But ultimately the finall say is up to you as biologically shes yours..

In my household my SO may not be my son and daughter's biological parent but he loves them as if he was. He disciplines them, teaches them, etc he knows his limit and he doesn't overstep or try and take the fact the the kids both have their biological father in their lives. If their real father tells them no on something he respects that and doesn't go behind his back. We all have an understanding and that's what you need.

With that way of looking at things, he will always just be your husband. He won't be a dad or even a step dad if you don't consider him to be the parent too.He will just be mom's husband. If you don't believe it no one else will either. I can absolutely promise you blood has nothing to do with being a parent. If he is there for the child, loves the child, sees the child as his even without being a blood relative, than he is most definitely that child's father. My biological father is nothing, it doesnt matter that he helped make me, the man that helped to raise me is my father.

@kedrababy we don't say step in our house.... both my SO and my children's father have a great relationship that's number one if the kids see the grown ups working together they will follow suit. We honestly don't really have any challenges my kids embrace the two daddy thing until they get in trouble.. me my SO and children's father sit down regularly and talk to just make sure everyone is on the same page and that is when we can also Voice any concerns. In the beginning it was hard for my son to adjust because he was older my daughter was very young so now to her having two daddies is the norm.

There is no differation it's all or nothing any family issues are handled as a family he married you all when he married you.
