I need advice on transitioning my baby to formula.
I've been breastfeeding her since she was born and she's 10 months now. I'm pretty sure my milk is drying up because she's constantly hungry! My doctor told me I can start giving her cow milk but I want to slowly introduce her to formula before cow milk. Any advice on to what formula to give her? And should I do like half formula half breast milk?
@beebaby, thank you! I gave her almond milk the other day but I'll try that
@elysiansmama, thank you! I bought a transitional formula from similac but I haven't given it to her yet. I pump at work but I just went through all my milk so fast!
Don't give dairy formula. Give soy formula and transition to a milk other than dairy.
I supplement but since she was born due to jaundice. My guess would be to make sure she doesn't have allergies and then try a sensitive formula, I use nutramigen, it's a good formula. But I think using bm would always be your best bet. Have u considered pumping?
Is soy formula milk better than enfamil formula (cows milk)?
Im trying to be vegetarian and dont want my 3 month old drinking cows milk anymore. Would it be okay to switch??
So, my baby is 3 months and she's on 1% milk. Formula doesn't sit right with her at all.
When can I start giving my son regular milk? He turns 10 months in 2 days. I bought unsweetened almond milk yesterday so he can try. Would that be okay? I’m lowkey tired of him on formula but I mean he’s still a baby lol.
So I called eliana's doctor yesterday because she's been refusing her formula for some time now and she called back this morning and told me to give her ripple milk and give a vitamin d supplement... My question is where do I get a vitamin d supplement for a baby? I didn't even think to ask her while i was on the phone 😩
Opinions on hungrier baby milk? My girl is drinking well over 30 oz in 24 hours. I tried her with water inbetween feeds but she just won't settle in till she has milk as she's hungry not thirsty. She's awake like 18 hours a day 😭
@j.desantiag09, awe well gl!pumping usually helps increase ur supply so it makes as much as baby needs. But if ur trying to wean her off the nipple then yea makes sense! Just keep a log of how much formula and when u feed her in case she has allergies or anything change in her bowels
