I need advice. My boyfriend is going on a trip next week and he is going to be gone for 4 days. We're never really apart, like ever. How do I cope? It's making me sad just thinking about him leaving 😕 (if you want to tell me I'm being dramatic, don't bother commenting)
@brendamariex3, @typicalwifegirl, @happymama2julianna, @mermaidmeshy, @sarinasmomma,
Thanks for all the suggestions ladies! I think Ima use that time to hangout with my friends and my family 😌 I am going to miss him like hell ! But y'all are right, it's not forever ☺️
Do you have any friends locally? If you do, plan a day with them. Even if it's something "boring" like a Netflix day at home.
My husband goes off for weekends once in a while for work. I've come to enjoy that time alone, I get to binge watch my Netflix shows, eat the food he won't eat. (He's weirdly picky about taste and texture, we think it's a cleft palate thing... who doesn't like avocados?!) I'll also go out with my girlfriends or if it's summer, go to the local pool and swim.
☝🏼 I like her planning a awesome big surprise idea 😊.... and of course lots of FaceTime moments!
When we first started dating, my husband had a week long trip without me. I took the liberty of using his car and staying in his apartment while he was gone. (We lived apart at the time.) I just went and tried to enjoy myself the way I used to before we met. I went out with other friends, went shopping, went to work, and every evening we'd Skype or talk in the phone for an hour. Sure you miss him a lot, but try to remember it's not forever, and you used to do just fine without him. 😊
Maybe you can spend the time planning a big surprise for him when he gets back. Clean everything up, get him new bedding(or something new for a thing he uses every day), make him a special dessert, and try to get a babysitter for the evening he gets back so you can spend some time with him alone. 😄
@shylamarie that's the spirit! Let us know how it goes!
