Still not making enough breast milk because my son REFUSES to drink from me, I catch him when he isn't crying and he just pushed my breast away and cries. And on the very rare occasion he tolerates me enough so I can breast feed , he drinks for less than 5 minutes then pushes me away. 😥. This wasn't what I was planning when I was pregnant. I wanted to breast feed exclusively and now he's just drinking formula. I only get 1 1/2 oz of milk when I pump . This just discourages me completely. Maybe I should just give up. He clearly has no interest in my milk.

First off it's totally okay that you formula feed don't feel in any way ashamed! I was the same way and ended up combination feeding because I needed my babies father to take over so I didn't die of exhaustion. But if you want to continue breastfeeding I encourage you to keep pumping even if he isn't taking the milk so your supply come in more and more. But some of it could be the way he is latching try opening his mouth more so he (and you) are comfy. As I am sure you are drinking lots of water is super important too to keep your supply up also some babies tummies are sensitive. My little one has reflux so when I ate spicy food it bothered her try seeing if eating things that are milder. I know it's hard and you are doing an amazing job!

I've been there.. i know how you feel. just relax, and listen to your body and your baby.
I tried mothers milk tea and it helped.. not as much as I would have liked, but it helped. i wasn't even producing colustrum.. 2 cups of tea had the colostrum flowing right away

@cubanese I pump 1 1/2 oz and I have birth on Thursday May 25th . My milk hadn't increased at all. And he's a 9 lb 10oz baby

@cubanese omg thanks! 😊, for some reason I thought all my milk supply should be in already , and I've spoken to 3 consultants already , they keep telling me to keep putting him on the breast and I've tried all the holds he is very determined to not drink from me and that really discourages me , so I much rather pump and bottle feed him my milk than not give him my milk at all. But seeing that my supply isn't fully in yet I will keep trying him on the breast as much as I can.
