I need advice mamas. I'm a FTM. My baby is 14 days old today. He has been acting constipated since we switched to formula last week. Our Dr said to give him pear juice mixed with water when he acts like that. He was acting constipated yesterday so we gave him some and he went poop. It wasn't hard, it was wet/runny. However an hour after that he started acting like he was straining again and acted that way all night. He threw up this morning about an hour after eating. He has been acting like he's trying to poop all day..face gets all red, pushing, etc. But nothing. I gave him pear juice about 2-3 hours ago but still nothing. He also won't let us put him down. As soon as we do he wakes up. I just don't know what to do. We have tried gas drops and I just gave him gripe water about an hour ago. He farts but no poop. I just feel bad bc he seems like he's in pain and idk how to make it better.

@rosierose21333 @ecahanes. I think You guys are right. I think its the milk based formula making him feel this way. Thank you for that suggestion. I was getting so upset seeing him in pain. Waiting on dr to call back now. Hes napping now thankfully...breaks my heart to see him in pain like this.

@boymama0908 that's what I thought too. I thought we would mix it with formula but Dr said nope just half ounce water half ounce juice.
I'm with @beebaby, but the belly rubs and bicycle kicks definitely work. But it sounds definitely like an intolerance. Poor baby hopefully he gets some relief soon.
You can also try a qtip with vassalen and message his rectum to poop , the peditrition taught me that when my son was constipated and I didn't want to give him any type of medication and worked like a charm he calmed down quickly
I don't think he is constipated...his stomach could be giving him pains from lactose. My son strained when I had him on cow based formula
please don't use karo syrup and anything recommended by anyone but your pediatrician because then they are at fault when something goes wrong
I'm wondering if he has a dairy issue. My son acted like that and once we put him on soy he stopped
Your baby might be lactose intolerant we had the problem with our daughter so they put her on infamil gentle ease. Its lactose sensitive formula it helps with gas colic and constipation
Try putting some dark karo syrup in his formula only a few drops and and i guarantee your baby will poop like a water fall
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
So hubby played a nasty April fool's joke on me. He acted like baby was in the carseat and dropped it. today I finally got him back . He was laying in bed watching a video and I was "still sleeping" I started acting like I was having a seizure his face was priceless. I have no idea how we are still together after all the cruel things we do to each other 😂
So I just went through my boyfriend phone while he was sleep & im pretty sure we all know what I found....him talking to multiple other females in a relationship type of way. When he wakes up should I act normal? Or confront him about it right then & there.?
so ladies I know this is weird lol but I can't get comfortable enough to poop when hubby is around or even fart like I'm soo so shy and when he says he has to Fart or poop I'll be like "do it" but I can't seem to mainly poop cause I find It rude to fart in front of guys idk and we are about to move in together in a couple of weeks lol
