Does anyone else get a little irked when family members don't take what you say about your children seriously?
My mother in law came by our home yesterday evening to stay with the babies so my husband & I could visit other family for a few hours (and not have our oldest up way past her bedtime!).
She asked me if the newborn needed a bath - I told her no, he had one this morning & he should be fine until I get home.
She jumped on me, saying 'He's been outside, and around other people all day - I'm giving him one!' Like oookkay, chill out there. A) I said no he didn't need one, so why did you even bother to ask if you had your own answer already? And b) It's not as though I was leaving him dirty for weeks on end. I was just trying to save her the trouble of having to give him one while I was gone.
It's not the first time she's commented on things that I've tried to brush off, so maybe I am just getting too sensitive to it 🙄🙄 just needed to vent!
@caitv123 the father of my daughter family don't even try it I let them know from the beginning what it is
@jasminemoody1386, exactly! I love the extended family to death - but it's hard to keep being respectful when you usurp my authority in my own house 😪 lord have mercy.
That's your child if u said no it means just that. Like some family members need to know they place like be a grandma come visit and hush.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
