@queenbee1911, wow I am sorry for all of the loss you have recently had to endure. I cannot imagine losing my dad we are extremely close too. That must be awful. My friends don't understand either what it is like to have 3 kids either and getting a sitter is impossible. I want to go back to work so bad it drives me insane. I feel helpless because I know that I can't daycare is way too expensive. I have thought about leaving my husband we just don't seem to click anymore. I stay for now because I refuse to go back to my parents house with 3 kids. So I am staying until hopefully they start kindergarten then I hope to get a job so I can leave. I signed up for classes hoping that would help some and I would feel like I was moving forward idk. I want to go to the gym but like before finding a sitter is impossible and it cost money. Just feel blah

@davisclanest.2006 I can definitely relate to the friends & family not understanding. I barely get a chance to really talk to my friends anymore. I don't go out anymore. I haven't had a drink, sex or just gone to a bar in almost 2 years! My family claims they're here if I need them but when I do call (which is rare) everyone is busy. Her father pulled a disappearing act 5 days before my father died unexpectedly (we were extremely close). I also lost a cousin violently, an uncle & just this past Thanksgiving my grandma to Alzheimer's. In between all this I haven't worked although I'm looking everywhere & I moved back home with my mom who doesn't begin to understand this. She helps when she can but she has a life too and I already feel like a burden. I have a psychiatrist & go to church. It's just gonna take time for me to get back into the flow of life....

It is definitely not something that is easy to live with. It's a battle everyday. I had it with my first one but I didn't realize it then with my second it got worse and with my third I just couldn't handle it anymore. I started on medication and I wouldn't say it helped it just kind of numbed me to it. It made it hard to sleep at first and the withdrawals when I came off of it were horrible. But I couldn't afford to keep taking it. I definitely still need it but I don't have health insurance so I couldn't afford the visit and the medication itself. That is why I was looking for a group so I could talk about things. I am a stay at home mom with a husband who works out of town for 2 weeks at a time and comes home for 3 days. I am struggling everyday to keep my head above the water. PPD is the worst thing I have ever felt and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I hope to find some relief soon because most days I can't handle it. My friends and family don't seem to understand that there are days when I don't even want to get out of bed but I have 2 because I have kids. So I do what they need and then I veg out on the couch til they need something else. This is not a way to live and something has to change.

I have it as well. Some days are extremely hard to even function. It's definitely something you have to take one day at a time. I have medication but I haven't taken it in months cause it makes me so drowsy, but I need to be alert to hear my daughter in the middle of the night. But I'm gonna have to start taking it again. Thankful my doctor says it's not addictive & the biggest side effect for her would most likely be drowsiness.

Hang in there ladies and do let your doctor know, when I got on medicine it went away fast and I was back to being myself again.
