Out of curiosity ...who thinks it's safe when you're sleeping with a two week old oinfant that they are completely covered ( even their face) with a knitted blanket.
I don't agree with that .. nothing should cover their face. The risk is not worth it. Hubby would wake me if I fell asleep with baby on the boob in case she couldn't breathe properly.
When she's on her own we just saddle and cover with an extra light blanket. This time however she was sleeping with hubby and he had blanket over him and her
@sareenarajwani83 i dont think you are.. i my son always put the blanket on his face so i always get him 2.. one for his legs and a mouseline one that he can put on his face... they are very thin and very breathable.. infants need to put more effort to breath...
I am not comfortable with it but my husband is, he was sleeping next to her on the sofa and I came downstairs to find the blanket above her face level, he feels it's light and knitted and I don't believe it to be that breathable or that light for an infant. So was just wondering if I was being too paranoid?
if you want to be sure put the blanket on your face and try breathing.. if it is slighty difficult for you it will be very difficult for him.. if your baby likes to have the blanket on his face to sleep find one that is very easy to breath thru
