Question.... If one of you ladies had a miscarriage last year at 11 weeks and I am now 14 weeks with baby number two and your doctor only did one ultrasound at 6 weeks and tells you that he is gonna wait until 20 weeks to do another one. I am so worried something is wrong why won't he do another ultrasound. I want to tell my whole family about the wonderful news but afraid something is wrong 😒

That's a huge gap not to have an ultrasound. Usually the last one is the anatomy one in your 20th to 22nd week. You need to ask them why and say that's ridiculous. I had one at 8 weeks, then 12 weeks, then 16 weeks, and my last one was 20 weeks. I only had an extra one recently cuz they wanted to check the heart more.

I did and they do the same protocol.

@heatherpuhl2014 no in my opinion that's not okay. Besides the 2 emergency ultrasounds I had, cuz I forgot I went to the hospital once, I have had 3 or 4 regular ultrasounds. You need to inquire as to why they're doing that. I would understand if it was after 20 weeks, but a lot could happen between week 6 and week 20!! That's 14 weeks! That would drive me insane.

I don't know what other doctors you all are seeing lol my doctor scheduled me 3 ultrasounds between weeks 8 and 20. And they said that that was protocol.

Very normal. I miscarried and then got pregnant 4 weeks later. I only had 2 ultrasounds my whole pregnancy from dr. 8 and 20 weeks. They didn't want to see me any sooner or take any extra precautions.

@heatherpuhl2014 I would do what you feel is comfortable for you. Don't be afraid to ask questions and even get upset. I mean it is your child and I'm sure the doc will understand. Request what you feel is necessary, be open to your doc about your concerns and go from there. That natural fear will never go away. I had a miscarriage last year so I completely understand and I'm still in fear everyday. Just try not to let it stress you out too much.💖💖💖💖 you got my support!

I know how you feel. I had a miscarriage in September at 18 weeks, now pregnant again and I don't have an ultrasound for a few weeks. I just want to know things are okay! 😢
