okay I need y'alls opinion. If a mother decides to get the epidural does that make her seem weak or something?? My bd mother in all 3 of my labors she's always looked down upon me getting the epidural since i couldn't handle the contractions and I was scared of feeling the pain of my kids coming out. and she told her daughter that she better not get anything when she goes into labor... one time I forgot something (it's normal to forget shit but not her they're perfect😒) she told her daughter you better bit forget things for your kids or I'll whoop you.... like seriously nobody is a fucking perfect parent ....

I had an epi with my son and with my daughter they boosted my petocen and it became so unbareable with my contractions I had no breaks inbetween they where sky high I was screaming and crying thought I was turning into the excorsist they said I couldn't have the epi I went through 8hrs of horror , some women can't take the pain it feels like ur pelvic is breaking in half , it does not make you a bad parent at all only you know what is best for you at that moment
@sawyersmom oh my God 😮!
Yeah and very scary because he was four weeks early
@rhealize very true ☺. my 3rd one though scared me because right when I got it and I laid back her heartbeat dropped so they put oxygen on me and turned me on my side
@sawyersmom lol okay and wow that was very fast😮
Hey, it doesn't make you any worse of a mother if you go with the epidural. And it sure doesn't make you a better one going without. 😂 As long as baby got here safe, right?
Lol I'm not having another one for awhile. But I would have taken an epidural with the first, but I labored too quickly. I was only at the hospital an hour
@sawyersmom lol well good luck the next time, I'm done for now lol
@rhealize I was induced with my 1st so I had the epidural I cried though of the pain I was in after I had her I couldn't sit or anything id cry, my 2nd I didn't even know I was dilated to 7cm that day I just went in for a check up lol I just took the epidural for being scared of the pain lol and my 3rd well I was induced I handled the pain a lot better and longer but I ended up getting it they were getting a shit load stronger, and well like I say at least i tried to go through without it
I went all natural, and while I didn't think it hurt that bad. You can be damn sure if it hurts the next time, I will be getting the epidural lol
I had the epidural the first time around, and didn't have time for one the second. I've never understood why people think it's weak. Is it weak to have anesthesia when you need a knee or hip replacement? Or when you're going in for open heart surgery? Why shouldn't you just beast through those? Seriously, if the option is there, there's no reason to hate on someone for using it.
That being said, the recovery time after an epidural is much slower, so I think I preferred the natural method in the end, despite how awful it felt. 😂
@aivahsmommy2016 lol yeah maybe that's why. but I think she did have it as an option she just refused it
@adrianasmtz1994, I get it. My mom and aunts are always preaching "we didn't have that stuff when we had you guys." Okay well things are different now, and if given the opportunity to ease my pain during labor I'll do it. They're just old and don't get it lol
@rebeccca3009 I agree, I hated people telling me what to do so I was like fuck it you're not the one in pain I am
