@jessyleigh I was in labor for 18hrs and most of it with no epidural so I feel your pain. Women who belittle other women for their choices are just insecure in my opinion. To each their own but if someone would have told me the truth about induction I would've waited it out.

@kimny, I agree I got induced and was in labor all day long and they wanted to do a c section but I refused because the baby and I were not in any stress. And all was well. And this time I am waiting it out because I want both experience but some are just so mean about it.

I was induced at exactly 40weeks on my due date and had no medical emergency what so ever. I went along with it bc 1) the last trimester is a pain literally lol and 2) I wanted to enjoy my baby during my alloted maternity leave time span. Then later found through colleagues that a lot of MDs induce for convenience. The standard line used is that your amniotic fluid is too low but if you research it their fluid level no where near warrants an induction. Also, being induced unnecessarily like most women now a days put both mommy and baby at risk and increases the chances of c sections. I don't think anyone should bash anyone for their choices but I do think it's important to share our experiences and learn from one another. If I could go back in time I would never ever get induced. My response does not apply to high risk pregnancies, medical emergencies etc.

@jessyleigh yeah he just turned a year may 8th so not that long ago. But as we know nothing in life is exact especially not in the medical field even with our technology

@mommywifelifestyle, oh no that would be scary!! That would make me very upset if that happened to me. I hope that is happening less and less since we are improving and can get it closer to be exact

@skysmommy04, @jessica.deshields, @arivera64, yes I would get upset about the unsafe self inductions but I see moms asking why you getting induced u need to go natural. I know with my first I got induced because I needed to start school and I wanted time alone with him before I had to go back full time. This time I plan to go natural but I hate how others bash. I get the teaching them that it's not your only option is great but some moms get mean about it.

I would sit it out unless medically necessary. They can get the development wrong and get your actual due date wrong as my uncle found out. Thought they were farther and my cousin ended up being born with underdeveloped lungs. They didn't want her to go into labor on her own but made an error and almost cause him his life. I really just don't like seeing moms try to induce theirselfs they can cause more harm then good but I'm not one for bashing

A lot of times doctors scare women into unnecessary inductions too. So to some ppl it can be upsetting to see a woman getting scared into not allowing her body to experience the natural birth process. Sometimes inductions are necessary though and it's great we have the medical technology to do them

That and then when others bash the moms who get c-sections thinking they have it easy and never had true labor. I personally never had a c-section but sometimes that's the only option to save both mom and baby and what people don't understand 90% of c-sections have to go through labor and they labor worse than most as that's the reason they have to get one. People are just closed minded now days.

Usually people get upset when they try to do it themselves I.E. castor oil and bad stuff
