I was induced on my due date (so right at 40 weeks). I got in around midnight. We started the process at 2am, I stayed awake all night in excitement, nothing really happened until noonish, got the epidural, and had my son right before 4pm, so from start to finish it was almost 14 hours.

I was induced at 39 weeks and had my baby 2 days later. I ended up having to have a c-section, though, because my water broke and my cervix was only dilated at 2 cm. If you're not dilated that far yet, get the gel that ripens your cervix. They put me on cervadil twice, and I started contracting, but it didn't open my cervix at all. I contracted for 2 days. I think my situation is different than the normal one, but it was intense. To pass the time, we brought coloring books and they had a tv so we watched that for a while, too. My husband stayed with me the entire time, which was really nice. Good luck on your induction! 😊
