prime time Is there a certain age you want to be finished having children by?

I always wanted to be done before 30. I ended up unexpectedly pregnant at 17 and as it turns out that will be my one and only baby.

Im definitely looking forward to spending my 40s relaxing and traveling!

I would like to be done having children in my early 30's.

I have 2 boys and I don't feel like I'm done having children at all. I'm 27 now.

I agree @vicbrowm. I always said i didn't want kids until at least 30. I had my son at 32. I'm surprised that so many want to have children while very young, instead of getting a chance to enjoy life, finish their education, and establish a career and stable living situation.

I'm so surprised that everyone is saying such young ages! For most people I know, 30 is about the average age to start!

I said I wanted to be done by 30. I'm only 26 now but if this baby is a boy I won't even consider another. DH wants 1 more but I just can't take the risk of ending up with 4 boys and 1 girl.

Yes, 35. That's when I had my first and last kids. I'm blessed to have her.

I want to be done by 30. Just had my first at 22. Hoping to have my next at 24, 26, and 28 with a little wiggle room.

Done at 24, I have a daughter and twin boys. Tied my tubes. I don't want anymore children.

I'm 22 and just had my second. One girl, one boy. I never wanted more than 2 children so on that aspect I am done, but I think it will be difficult to go through so many childbearing years ahead of me without having a baby to cuddle.

I don't think I have an age limit or children amount limit in mind. I had my first at 28.

I think if anything I'll probably regret not having more children if anything.

I'm open to having children in my 40s.

I'm done at 30! I wanted a large family and have like 5 children but I'm on number two now and I need to be realistic lol. Both my husband and I want our children to have a good life and be able to do after school activities and sports so we know that can be expensive. I am currently pregnant with a boy and we already have my daughter. MAYBE I can squeeze another one by the 30 age limit but we will see I'm exhausted and number two isn't even here yet lol

I didn't want to start until after I turned 30. I had my first a month after I turned 31. IF I have anymore, I'd like to be done by 35. We are still undecided.

By 30, I'll be 29 May 11 & I'm due with my last baby May 12.

I think around 25. I am on baby #3 and in 21 (22 when baby comes) my husband wants 8 kids, I want 6...but we want to adopt. However I think I'll be closer to 30 than 25 lol but hoping 25...

I wanted my first at 30, but had my son at 24. I'm now 29 and I think I'll have another in 2-3 years. I won't try after 35 though.

30. The older I got though it was less about my age and more about the number of kids we wanted. We wanted 3. No more. I had our oldest at 23 and twins at 27. We have 3 dds and for a moment contemplated trying for a boy. However, after DNA testing on our twins to find out they are identical, plus my genetics, that solidified it for us. We are done! It was so nice to go through baby clothes the other day and not get this pang of wanting another!

Well, I had my first at 22, almost 23 yrs old and always wanted to be done by 28.

Life didn't work that way, I remarried and my husband and I are about to have our son....and I'm 34! Lol I also haven't committed to being done yet. Maybe 1 more but it would have to be within the next 2 years.

Interesting everyone seems to want to be done by the time they're 30. Dude, I didn't want any children until after 30. I'm 35 with a 5 and 3 yr old, one of each. I honestly don't think I'm done. ?

I said 30, but didn't get married until 27 and bought our house at 29. 30 is when I had our first and 34 with our second. We are done.

A lot of women here in Germany actually start having kids in their early 40's. I personally feel like I have so much less energy than when I was in my 20's, I can't imagine starting in my 40's ?

I always said 30, I'm turning 25 in march so to think my prime time is literally closing in on me is insane. I want 1-2 more babies, I say my new cutoff age is 31. Give me 6 years to have one or two more.

I'm 33 and I'm done. Had DD at 31. I wanted to have her by 30 but ttc took longer than we would have liked.

28 ideally I'm done now but if I happen to find a husband before then who wants to try for a girl I wouldn't be completely closed to the ideal.

I'm 35 and done having kids. I have a 4 year old boy and a 2 year old boy. I knew I only wanted 2 kids so after my last I got a procedure done where I can't have anymore!!!

SO and I agreed to be finished now.

I'm 21 and he's 22. We're really young but we have 2 now.

I can't get my tubes tied here because of my age so I've decided to go on Mirena for a few years until I get to the recommended age then I'll get it done. I believe doctors here won't do it until you're at least 24?

I want(ed) to be done by 30. We are having our third and last in 12 days and I will turn 31 one month after that. This is our third in 2 1/2 years and I'm getting my tubes taken out during this csection.

Financially, three makes sense for us. We have cattle ranches to run besides the three kids. And I'm ready to be done being pregnant forever.

Ha I wanted to be done in my early 30s. I am having my first at 39. And I want one more. Good thing we did extensive traveling and all sorts of bucket list activities in our late 20s to mid 30s, because now I will be pushing 60 when they grow up.

24-25. I only want one more child, which I plan on trying for in a year. So I'll be done by 24-25. I'm really hoping to get my tubes tied but they may not let me, we'll see lol.

SO and I were just talking about this the other day. I wanted to be done by 30 and let dd have siblings close in age but that isn't going to happen and I'm actually bummed. We're going to start trying when I'm around 32 and be done by 35ish. My dd will be around 9 when we start trying and I cringe at that age gap but he will not budge.
