I have a friend that is 40w 2d and she has been having contractions allllll day. She went to the hospital about 2 hours ago and they checked her twice. She is only 1 1/2 cm dilated. She's in pain. Any suggestions to get labor moving and start dilating more?? Need answers ASAP

Question.. is it possible for one to be in “active labor” but not be dilated AT ALL? The only thing she’s having is contractions, not regular, irregular pattern contractions. They come in groups she says.
20 days to my due date and yesterday I was 1 cm dilated. I’m so ready to be a mama to my baby. But she’s so not wanting to come out. Anyone have tips, to get my baby out?
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
When does the doctor normally start checking you to see if you have started dilating?

Walking.... i had contractions and layed down most of the time and they kept jumping from 12 min to 5min apart for hour's as soon as i started walking they stayed at 3 min apart and she was born within the hour... that was my experience...
