I had a hard time almost obsessing over how to deal when he was gone that I would ruin our time together by making it stressful. Over time, you learn a routine. A good solid friend base is key. My ex husband went on a 9 month deployment but while he was "home" he was gone out to sea for 2 wks, home 2 wks. Eventually I got the hang of it.
