@erincharlie1226, oh I understand now. If you phone your doctors, they may want you to come in for a pregnancy test, or they will take your details or give you the midwifes number for you to contact her. That then gets the ball rolling. She won’t come out to you to do the paperwork until about 8 weeks, and then she will sort it out for you to get a letter for your first scan. Does that help?x

@hayleyf that's what I mean I spoke to my doctor and they said they don't do pregnancy test there or anything like that and that was all she said. So would I just call a local midwife centre ? Seriously this area is backwards not used to it. Thankyou for your help xxxx

@erincharlie1226 down here you have to go online and choose the hospital you want to give birth at then the midwife contacts you not sure if it's like that where you are x

@michellewiggins1985, shouldn’t your doctor be able to tell you the process if you phone them?x

@erincharlie1226 if you go on Medway hospital click on find a service then go to midwife and click on that then go down to where it says how to book a midwife click on that and it should say self refer and you should be able to put your details in then they will contact you xx
