Legally, if a women has a baby and she is not married, am I correct legally it is her right and choice on wether to add the father to the birth certificate and if she wants the child to take his last name??

My friend has had three kids with her last name and she is still with the dad, another friend has her baby's name hyphenated daddy's last name and then mommy's.

Yes but the father could petition you to court for a dna test to prove the child is his and fight you for any type of rights like custody etc. If the child is proven to be his i believe he has the right to be added to the certificate
Correct. Do you want support for the child, you'll have to prove paternity though. But if he's not gonna be part of the child's life don't use his last name
