@tashamagolan, @breloya, @arivera64, @michsept, @skysmommy04, yes! That's how I was feeling. Last year my husband was my first Mother's Day and my husband was so hungover, he slept all day and didn't remember it was Mother's Day until 2pm. Then mad at me because he's like well what did you want to do!? This year he said he's gonna take his mom to dinner. That's nice, it's his mom... but he could do something nice for me. Like have my son paint something, let me shower and get ready in peace, clean the whole house, do the laundry without being told. Something! Haha
It's not expected, but it would be nice. Just like I do things for his birthday, for Father's Day, Valentine's Day, etc. I think it's a special day where the men should plan something sweet and simple at least. Watch the kid(s) while the mama goes to get her nails or hair done, or whatever she pleases. Or take her to dinner or do little crafts with the kids for her. It shouldn't be the only day we're appreciated as moms, but still.
