When you do give your child the iPhone or iPad, there's a setting button to hold the app you're using so your child isn't able to close the app or switch to something else.
Settings-General-Learning-Guided Access.
I only allow my daughter the phone when I'm super busy or sick.
There are lots of good learning apps and stuff for toddlers! I know baby Einstein has one. When Isabelle's older we're gonna get one for her. Right now we mount one of our phones to the backseat so she can watch Elmo in the car 😂😂😂
Can you help me I cant find the learning button.

As a mother you know when your child is poorly, and it's more than just god damn viral infection. But no f*** ing doctor would listen.
@scurlock.mommy, yes! I need to get those apps for her. She throws tantrums in the car. The phone really helps :)
