I don't understand how a doctor can estimate weight without doing an ultrasound? I just can't see it…

they did with my son & said he was 5 pounds but he was 7.14 . so yah they weren't accurate with me at all lol

Either way it's just an estimate from doctor or ultrasound can't really know until baby is born

I feel like my midwife was more accurate than the ultrasound. The growth scan said 6lbs, my midwife said 7.5-8.5lbs I said she felt more around 8lbs and my daughter was born at 8.4lbs

They estimated my son at 7 1/2 pounds a week before I had him. He was only 6 pounds they are off

I'm 36 weeks and she said my baby is already 7 pounds so they will schedule an ultrasound at next appointment. I know ultrasounds are exactly accurate either but I can't really believe my baby would be 7 pounds already with 25 more days to go..

My doctor estimated w/o an ultrasound a week before..He said my son would be 8 lbs 3 oz at birth..He was 6 lbs 12 oz lol
