Okay so I know after a few months babies won't nurse as long because they can eat quicker and more efficient but can that happen at just one month old? He seems to not be eating as long except only once in a while he will eat for a long time again. I'm worried he's not eating enough. Especially after his nicu stay for the first 24 days of guys life.. Plus I'm still pumping a pretty good amount even after he feeds

My son only nursed for 5 min on one boob at one nursing session. Since he was a month old, I had a fast let down so he learned to eat quick and get full fast. Their bellies are small, if he's having wet and poopy diapers and gaining weight I wouldn't be concerned

It took a couple months until my milk was regulated so that's why your pumping so much still after feeds.

as long as he seems satisfied after he nurses and is having plenty of wet diapers I would say he's good to go!

Thanks guys, yes I have an over supply and a fast let down to, maybe that is why he's eating so much quicker
