my daughter has bilirubin which is at a 16 and the doctors say it's normal to come back in 2 weeks it's been 2 days since the doctors appointment and she's gotten really yellow! Should I take her to the hospital?

If your mommy gut says go, then go!!

My boyfriend told me not too once when our son wasn't eating right. I took him cause my gut said too.

5 days hooked to an iv with fluids and round the clock antibiotics for a bad infection in his tummy.

Newborns sleep A LOT. Most of the day. But I do suggest you make a doctors appt just to be on the safe side

@sabreenhusein my son sleeps constantly, youj just have to irritate them to get them awake, try a cold washcloth on there head or feet to wake them up a bit, tickle her feet and hands, massage her cheeks, and when in doubt change the diaper

My son is exactly the same way, I was told to feed him every two hours (he's a little underweight being born early) and to walk him outside in the sun for at least ten minutes a day and then keep him by the window.

You can stroll her around outside, sit out in your backyard w/her or even open the shades and put her by the window for some sun mami. This helps tremendously.

I think ours was like 18 and they kept her for phototherapy. I'd just sit her bouncer or something close to a window so she won't get hot but still gets sun.

Just make a doctors appointment to make sure she's ok. My daughter had jaundice too and hers went up to 19. I was so worried but when i spoke to a bunch of nurses at the hospital some told me their babies were born with jaundice and all they did was take them out in the sun.

That's really high!!! If you don't take her to the hospital then keep her in some sun and make sure she eats because pooping helps bring it down.
